2015 MTA Tennis Weekend

2015 MTA Tennis Weekend

The 2015 MTA Annual Meeting weekend was a huge success. Pros from across the state gathered together for a workshop held at the Country Club of Jackson. Special guests included John Callen, Executive Director of USTA Southern and Brett Schwartz, USTA Board member.  The 2015-2016 MTA Board of Directors was announced which included Jackson native Jim Warren as the new President.  There was a great turnout for the Awards Luncheon where the 2014 MTA Award Winners were recognized.  An honorable and touching recogniation was given to Sunny Logan from Grenada.  Sunny is an extremely talented rising junior who is battling cancer off the court.  The weekend came to a conclusion Saturday night showcasing Marty Pearson as the newest inductee into the Mississippi Tennis Association Hall of Fame.  Congratulations Marty!
