Non-Sanctioned Tournament Information

Late last year the USTA conducted a survey of USTA Tournament Directors to establish whether they would be interested in using TennisLink for Non-Sanctioned Tournaments. The USTA received an overwhelmingly positive response. Based on that feedback, USTA recently launched an updated version of TennisLink for use by Tournament Directors for Non-Sanctioned Tournaments. A few of the highlights of this enhanced version include:

  • USTA members and non-members can register for a tournament.
  • Your tournament players will have all the benefits of TennisLink such as My Tennis Page and notification of other upcoming play opportunities.
  • The same great customer service will be available through the Linkteam.
  • Your Non-Sanctioned tournaments will be listed on the Non-Sanctioned Tournament schedule.
  • Players have access to USTA Mobile, which gives them the capability of using their iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch devices to follow the action for free.
  • The financial aspects will be the same as you currently have with sanctioned tournaments; monies will be forwarded to your bank account by Active.
  • Registrations can be handled online.
  • As is the case with sanctioned tournaments, each USTA Section and/or District will charge a usage (sanction) fee for each Non-Sanctioned tournament (check with your Section and/or District). Active will receive a $3 fee for each sanction and charge an online non-refundable registration fee for each entry.

HOW TO REGISTER A NON-SANCTIONED TOURNAMENT:

  1. Go to tennislink.usta.com/tournaments
  2. Log on to the system
  3. Complete your application for the Non-Sanctioned tournament by choosing "Non-Sanctioned" as the tournament category. This will allow USTA members and non-USTA members to register for the tournament once they have created their USTA Account.
  4. Submit the application

This is another exciting upgrade of the features of TennisLink designed to make the player experience more fun and enjoyable.
