Tennis Foundation of Mississippi Junior Player Grants

The Tennis Foundation of Mississippi would like to announce two separate grants for junior players in Mississippi in 2026!
The Entry Level Player Grant is for players participating in USTA Tournaments for the FIRST TIME in 2026, and the Tournament Player Grant is for players that have participated in USTA Tournaments prior to 2026. Both grants and their applications are detailed below.
Player grants through the Tennis Foundation of Mississippi are for families that have incomes of less than $150,000 per year. The IRS Form 1040 will be required on the application.
ENTRY LEVEL PLAYER GRANT
Grant Criteria, Eligibility & Information
- This grant is for players playing in USTA Tournaments for the FIRST TIME in 2026 (USTA Tournaments include sanctioned Level 7-Level 1 tournaments and Junior Circuit Tournaments).
- Players are eligible for a $100 grant EACH time they participate in a USTA Sanctioned Junior Tournament or a Junior Circuit Tournament.
- Grant is for $100 for each tournament played in 2026, CAPPED at $400 (4 tournaments in 2026)
- Funds will be sent once we confirm players participated in each tournament.
- Players may submit separate applications each time they participate in a tournament, and will be paid after each event (until the $400 cap is reached)
- Applications must include a Form 1040 for the 2025 or 2024 tax year, a letter of recommendation from a coach or mentor, and a picture of the player

TOURNAMENT PLAYER GRANT
Grant Criteria, Eligibility & Information
- This grant is for active players that have played USTA events prior to 2026
- This grant has Two Tiers
- TIER 1 - Players that have played 3 USTA Tournaments (Level 1-7 Tournaments or Jr Circuit events) in the previous 12 months and submit plans to participate in at least 3 tournaments in the following 12 months are eligible for a $500 GRANT
- TIER 2 - Players that have played in 5 USTA Sanctioned Tournaments (one of which MUST BE a Level 5 Tournament), and submit plans to play in at least 5 USTA Tournaments in the following 12 months (1 being a Level 5 Tournament) are eligible for a $750 GRANT
- Players may apply for this grant once during each calendar year
- Applications must include a Form 1040 for the 2025 or 2024 tax year, a letter of recommendation from a coach or mentor, and a picture of the player
