Mississippi “Level 5 Closed” Junior Tournament

Mississippi recently held it’s “Level 5 Closed” Junior Tournament at Ridgeland Tennis Center, formerly known (and still referred to by some) as the “Qualifier.”  The event used to qualify a quota of Mississippi juniors for “Southerns,” more formally known as USTA Southern Closed.  But even though the event isn’t technically used as a Qualifer for Southerns anymore, it’s still one of Mississippi’s most prestigious junior tournaments from a ranking standpoint, and the only Level 5 junior tournament closed to only players from the state.

Junior Players such as Briley Rhoden, Tejasvi Uppu, Allie Rhoden, Charlie Ratliff, and Ross Johnson came away from the event as singles champions.
