USTA Mississippi Hosts Level 1 Coaching Fundamentals Workshop at River Hills

JACKSON, MISS. — July 12–13, 2025
USTA Mississippi welcomed 24 aspiring tennis coaches from across the Southeast to River Hills Club for a Level 1 Coaching Fundamentals Workshop — a foundational step on the coaching certification pathway.

Led by USTA National Coach Developers Devin Crotzer and Emillia Viljoen, the two-day workshop introduced attendees to essential principles of coaching, including skill development, player engagement, and the fundamentals of building a positive learning environment.

This Level 1 workshop is the first step in a coach’s journey through USTA’s certification and education pathway. After completing this course, participants can continue advancing through higher levels of coaching development and gain access to more specialized resources and support.
