USTA Coaching Workshops Coming to Mississippi!
There's never been a better time to get involved in coaching tennis, with 5.9 million new players (and counting!). USTA Mississippi can provide resources for you to get involved part-time or full-time as well as providing access to coaching education!
USTA hosts two types of workshops, a two-day "Level 1 Coaching Fundamentals" Workshop, and a one day, 2-3 hour Community Coach Workshop (3 offered in 3 locations).
A Level 1 Coaching Fundamentals Workshop is the first level of coaching certification, and the precursor to becoming a PTR or RSPA certified instructor.

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTIONS
- USTA Grow the Game Workshop
- USTA "Grow the Game Workshops" are 2-3 hour sessions designed for beginner, part-time, or volunteer coaches to learn basic teaching skills and the latest trends & techniques.
- USTA Level 1 Coaching Fundamentals Workshop
- The Coaching Fundamentals Workshop is a TWO FULL-DAY workshop focusing on core teaching skills & principles. Attendees are eligible to become certified as a Level 1 Coach with an accredited tennis certification organization
- USPTA & PTR Certification
- Coaches that want to pursue a career in coaching tennis are encouraged to become certified by one of the two certifying organizations. Click one of the links above to visit the USPTA or PTR websites for more information about the benefits.
