USTA Mississippi to Host Adaptive Coaches Workshop October 4

USTA Mississippi will be hosting an Adaptive Tennis Coaches Workshop at River Hills Club on Saturday, October 4 from 3pm - 6pm.

Anyone from ages 16 and up is eligible to participate in the workshop, and registration for the event is $25.

This workshop will be a great opportunity for any type of coach to get more education on how to teach tennis to the adaptive tennis population, which will be focused on those with cognitive and intellectual disabilities.

Jim Hamm of Roswell, GA is set to be the workshop's lead trainer, and he will bring extensive knowledge to the workshop.  Hamm has served as the Head Tennis Coach for the Special Olympics World Games in Athens, Greece, and is a founding member of the Special Pops tennis program in Roswell, GA.  He is also the chairman of the USTA Southern Special Populations committee.
