Help Young Athletes Achieve Their Dreams!
The Problem: Access and Equity
In Mississippi, many communities face persistent economic challenges that limit access to youth sports. Although tennis programs are available, the costs associated with competitive play—such as tournament fees, travel, lodging, and equipment—remain out of reach for many families. These financial barriers prevent promising young athletes from gaining critical match experience, developing their skills, and being seen by college coaches. As a result, an inequity gap grows within the sport, where talent and dedication are overshadowed by financial constraints.
The Solution: Entry Level Player Grant & Youth Tournament Player Grant Programs
The MTF's grant program directly addresses this barrier. Grants will be awarded to eligible children and teens (ages 8-18) based on financial need, commitment to the sport, and recommendation from a certified coach.
Why Invest in the Mississippi Tennis Foundation?
The MTF is a registered non-profit organization with a proven track record of promoting tennis throughout the state. By investing in this grant program, you are not simply funding a sport; you are investing in the potential of young people, providing them with discipline, resilience, and a clear pathway to higher education.
